There are 10 varieties of pears in the United States, each with its own distinctive color, flavor, and texture. This pear is the Comice pear, which is soft, juicy, and very sweet when ripe. It’s one of my favorites. They normally have red and green hues, but I carried myself away to include a broad range of color.
